For generations, the Unangst family has worked this land. What began as a dairy and grain farm has grown through the years, but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to farming, our community, and preserving this land for generations to come.

1800s

The Unangst Story Begins

The original 112-acre farm has carried the Unangst name since the 1850s, beginning as a dairy and grain farm.

1984

Christmas trees take root

After studying agronomy at Penn State, fifth generation farmer Roger Unangst began looking for a way to keep the family farm viable. About 500 Christmas Trees were planted that first year.

1999

A NEW FALL TRADITION

The farm expanded beyond Christmas trees to welcome families in the fall with pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides and other farm experiences.

Today

Growing For the next generation

The farm has continued to grow while protecting its agricultural roots. Additional neighboring farmland was acquired in 2020 and again in 2024, expanding the farm and preserving more land in agriculture.

MORE THAN GROWING
TREES + PUMPKINS

Farming has changed a lot since the first Unangst worked this land. Today we grow Christmas trees, pumpkins, and seasonal crops while welcoming thousands of families to experience the farm each year.

Children who once rode our hayride with their parents are now bringing their own children. And that, is pure magic.

the family behind the farm

Today, multiple generations of the Unangst Family work together across the farm- from growing crops and caring for Christmas trees to field trips, the farm market, events and everything that happens behind the scenes.

Fifth generation farmer Roger continues to work the land alongside his son Kody, with the next generation increasingly carrying the farm forward.
