Keep your tree in a cool shady place, like a porch or a garage until you are ready to bring it indoors.  Keep it in water if possible.  If it goes without water for more than 4-6 hours before you bring it inside, make a fresh cut off the trunk. This will allow the tree to drink water once it is set up.  Do not do this if your tree was drilled. This will interfere with the depth of the drilled hole and your tree will no longer stand correctly in the stand.  If our team forgot to drill your tree, please do not attempt to drill it yourself. The drill bit is tapered to allow your tree to stand. Please bring it back and we will drill it.

During the first few days, your tree will drink a lot of water.  Make sure the tree does not go dry.  If dry for more than 4-6 hours, the trunk seals and cannot consume anymore water.  Be sure to keep your tree away from heat:  fireplaces, TVs, computers, heat registers, etc.  Always turn your lights off when you go to bed or leave your house.  If you find spiders in your tree a simple light spray for spiders will take care of them or vacuum them up and continue enjoying the beauty of your tree. Remember, trees live outside and creatures do live in them. Follow these tips and your tree will stay fresh and beautiful all through the Christmas Season!

You must fill out an application here. Submit a photo of your truck, your menu and be sure to have your paperwork up to date.

UNANGST TREE FARMS plants nearly 18,000 tress each spring!  Most Christmas tree growers plant one to three new seedlings for every tree they harvest.  While the seedlings are growing, they continue to support life by absorbing carbon dioxide and other gases and emit fresh oxygen.  Farms that grow Christmas trees stabilize soil, protect water supplies and provide refuge for wildlife while creating scenic green belts.  Real trees are a renewable, recyclable resource.  In the United States, about 500,000 acres of Christmas Trees help to preserve farmland.  After the Christmas season, trees are used in ponds and lakes for fish habitats.  They are chipped down to make mulch and help prevent erosion on beach fronts during the winter months.  Eighty percent of artificial trees worldwide are manufactured in China, according to the United States Commerce Department.  Artificial trees are petroleum-based products.  The average family uses an artificial tree for only six to nine years before throwing it away, where it will remain in a landfill for centuries after disposal!
